In the grand scheme of things, the GameCube might not have been Nintendo’s best console, or had a huge library of games. But I’ve got to say, it’s still one of my favourite consoles. When it dropped in 2001, no one expected that it’d offer us some of the best entries in long-running franchises, despite being a commercial failure, or that it’d introduce me to the world of gaming.
For that, I hold it in high regard and keep it plugged in and available, whenever I need a trip down memory lane, kicking my brother’s ass in James Bond: Nightfire. For that game, and the others in the list, I salute you GameCube.
