When I was in eighth grade, I was in an advanced math class that got ahead of the curriculum, and we had a bunch of laptops for the end of the year. We were told we could do whatever we wanted on those laptops, as long as it wasn’t against school policy.
Naturally, we all just installed the Halo for PC trial onto all of those laptops and had death-matches with each other for the rest of the year.
Suffice to say, the year after us had very limited laptop access, and that’s my own personal story of something so popular at school that got banned. Here are a whole bunch more.
