If anyone knows how to make a relationship and marriage last, it’s gonna be your grandparents. They grew up in a time where they had less, had to do more, and probably went through social, political and global upheavals that we can’t even imagine. I mean, I’m old enough that my grandparents actually saw the end of one World War, and lived through the second. And only death drove them apart in the end.
This generation comes from a time where you worked hard on the things that mattered to you and you didn’t give up. Which means divorce was rarely on the table, if at all.
So when asked for their opinions on what makes a marriage tougher than opening a jar, this is what they had to offer.
