I’ve always been fascinated by documentaries. On one hand, they’re supposed to be an objective and non-fiction form of storytelling, meant to give you the truth. But, if I’ve learned anything in film school, is that everything and everyone’s got an agenda and a point of view. And that point of view is meant to serve a purpose and tell a specific story. In most cases, it’s about a truth that maybe no one else wants told.
To scratch that truthful itch, there’s no shortage of Netflix documentaries you can watch, or fascinatingly creepy documentaries out there on the web, but I recently came across the /r/Documentaries/ subreddit, that has some I’ve never heard of.
Time to settle in for a watch.
