When I think about how long ago Friends debuted, it makes me feel like a dinosaur. I mean, I remember watching the pilot, thinking “yeah, I might stick with this show for a bit; see where it goes.” Ten years later, I’m left a sobbing mess when they leave the keys on the counter and utter one of the best last lines in TV history.
The show’s been back in the news lately, either because it’s celebrated 25 years since the premiere; millennials are shocked by how offensive 90’s sitcoms were, or that fans rioted when it was announced the show was leaving Netflix to go to HBO Max, and a company called SEMrush did an analysis of the Google patterns around the show.
As it turns out, a lot of the Google activity around the show, is about Ross. I know… mind blowing.
