Talk about “Trusting the pilot”…Chinook sling crew hooks-up a Howitzer (Video)


The massive 25,000-pound CH-47 Chinook is hovering above a sling-load crew as they link-up a M777 Howitzer.

“U.S. Army CH-47 Chinook helicopter sling-loads an M777 Howitzer and provides troop lift support for Soldiers of 2nd Battalion, 11th Field Artillery Regiment, 2nd Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division, during a two-gun raid air assault exercise October 10, 2019 at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii. The exercise is the first live-fire air assault of M777 Howitzers ever conducted on the island of Oahu.”
