Celebrities appearing in a video game isn’t a new thing, and when done right, it’s amazing. Instances like Kiefer Sutherland in Metal Gear Solid V, Charles Dance in Witcher 3 or Ellen Page in Assassin’s Creed for example; these guys were just performing their craft and embodying a role. To them, it was no different when what they do in front of the camera. And they nailed it.
On the other hand, sometimes a celebrity just wants a paycheque for standing in a room for a day and reading a script. Or, it’s a stunt casting thing that’s supposed to generate buzz in the game, but it doesn’t actually work or make sense. Or maybe, it’s just a bad fucking idea all the way around and makes no sense in the context of the game.
Like these ones. Bad ideas all around here.
