If you’ve been paying attention in history class, then you know that technology wins a war. It’s not so much how many soldiers you have, or what strategic position you’ve obtained. It’s about who’s got the best and coolest tools to use against the other guy. Throughout both world wars to date, the country that has the most tech, i.e. the best guns, trench construction, vehicles, and ultimately, nukes, became the winner of the war. Sure, you could bring up Vietnam and getting our asses handed to us by farmers, but that was an anomaly.
Anyways, so it stands to reason that the U.S. Army has a keen interest in looking towards the future and embracing tech that’ll turn G.I. Joe into a combo of Rita Vrataski from Edge of Tomorrow and Master Chief.
