Back in high school, one of my teachers (an English teacher, weirdly enough) used to be a sous chef for a pretty popular restaurant in my home town. He told us about a man who came in for a couple of years and abruptly stopped coming in (for reasons that will become apparent). The man’s order was as follows:
-A steak, only seared by grill marks, and raw in every other way
-An uncooked potato, washed
And that was it. Now, my teacher never exactly found out what happened to the man, but I think it’s safe to assume that his diet might have had something to do with him no longer coming in. And I think my teacher’s story would fit in perfectly with what follows:
