There’s just something so unsettling about vintage black and white photos. Maybe it’s because they’re standing so still and looking serious, or maybe it’s the Black and White nature of it all. I can’t really put my finger on it. But if you thought that still photos were spooky, you’ve got to see what happens when they come to life.
Artist Kevin J. Weir has taken old images he’s found in the Library of Congress and added some elements to them to make them absurd, creepy, or insanely unsettling.
