Everyone knows Stonehenge, right? Giant ring of standing stones, each saying 25 tons or so, constructed sometime in the middle of the Bronze Age. Having never been there, I hear it’s a pretty magical place.
But, it’s also in the middle of nowhere in the UK, and a huge tourist attraction, which kind of make it hard to truly appreciate. Lucky for you, enterprising Americans (both recent and ancient), have constructed Henges of their own that are pretty hecking cool and don’t require a passport.
Just a full tank of gas and an appreciation for quirky folk art and history.
