A few years ago I ran out of gas on the freeway very close to a gas station. I was walking down the off ramp with a gas can when someone pulled up and offered me a ride. I refused since the gas station was so close but they insisted saying that it was dangerous to walk down the off ramp (which it was), so I got in and caught a ride to the gas station.
When I got back to my car I couldn’t find my keys; they had fallen out of my pocket in the car that had given me a ride. I had to walk back to the gas station and call a locksmith to come out and make me a new key. 3 hours, and $80 later I was on my way. I then had to replace all the other keys on my keyring which meant buying several new locks and getting severely chastised by my boss (nearly lost my job).
