I’ve had to stick some Editor Notes in many of my posts because searching for a GIF related to the topic at hand proved to be… Perilous (for example, this post about regional customs, finding a GIF related to the soda called “Squirt” was pretty catastrophic on my end).
Luckily, I work at theChive, and we literally have an entire category called “Shit Happens” in our tagging system for a reason. But that doesn’t stop the searches from being kind of embarrassing, so I feel these folks’ pain:
