One of baseball’s most exciting events takes place on Monday as All-Stars head to Denver for the Home Run Derby at Coors Field. Of the 8 players attending this year’s contest, Los Angeles Angels two-way player Shohei Ohtani is the favorite to win; which is not surprising after he LAUNCHED a 463 ft home run into the upper deck of T-Mobile Park last night in Seattle, a feat that has only been accomplished by 5 players in history.
While it will never happen due to the age differences, it is fun to speculate what the greatest home run derby ever would look like. For this list, each team has their most iconic slugger that we would like to see in the Ultimate Home Run Derby.
Note: Some of the players on this list are not the team’s all-time home run leader, but they have the most power. Let’s be real, that is all we want in a home run derby anyways.
