I’m a movie-minded person. I can’t help myself, and in moments of boredom I’ve imagined what my life would look like through a movie camera. It would occasionally be interesting, but not a whole lot more. There’s not much in my life that’s cinematic except some beautiful landscapes I’ve been fortunate enough to witness.
But if an omniscient camera crew had been following paramedic Billy Wynne on February 22nd, 2013, that lens would have witnessed something worthy of a movie, a scene of pure terror, a scene of crushing tragedy, and a scene of extraordinary heroism all at once.
