There are so many elements of parenthood I will be happy to avoid for a long, long time. At the very top of that list is the school pickup and dropoff.
I can’t stand traffic. I feel like an idiot every time I’m stuck in it. It’s a little Star Wars/Obi-Wan Kenobi-esque. “Wait a minute, how’d this happen? We’re smarter than this.”
What’s the loophole to the pickup/dropoff? Have them walk a couple extra blocks? At least there’s some comic relief in it…
