“My younger brother is a K-9 handler in the USAF, and at the time this video was taken, I was on vacation visiting him at Kirtland AFB in Albuquerque, NM. He took me on a tour of the base first, and then to check out the kennels where the MWDs are housed when they aren’t working. I don’t know what got into me, but I saw the place where they kept the Kevlar suits, and I got a rush of adrenaline. So I asked my brother if I’d be allowed to suit up to see what it’s like to be taken down by one of his dogs. Of course he said hell yes and was stoked that I even wanted this….
So I suit up, and prepare to be attacked by his terrifyingly intimidating dog, Mex. As it would happen, Mex, my brother’s dog, had the most powerful bite of all the dogs in the kennel. So the first two times I did a run, he had Mex take me down. The third and final time I agreed to be taken down, we used his coworker’s dog, who consequently had the least powerful bite of all the dogs in the kennel, but was nonetheless equally mean!”
