Movie sequels can be a tricky tightrope to walk. The writers & creators have to both be true to the original films while properly expanding on the “universe” and upping the ante for the fans. It seems like it would be so simple, but so often the sequels end up becoming a hot mess that lets the world down in spectacular fashion.
But once in a while creators and studios get it just right and create a film that not only lives up to the original, but in some cases even surpasses it entirely.
