No one has hair like Farrah Fawcett. Big, bouncy, and, of course, blonde, Fawcett’s blow-outs were so voluminous they put Sir Issac Newton (and all his dumb gravity stuff) to shame.
After a pin-up poster featuring Fawcett in a red swimsuit became a bestseller (reportedly the bestselling poster of all time, currently on display in the Smithsonian), Fawcett got her big break in the made-for-TV movie, Charlie’s Angels. The movie was so successful, it was turned into a series starring Fawcett and fellow “angels” Jaclyn Smith and Kate Jackson, who played three beautiful private investigators working for a detective agency run by titular “Charlie.”
Fawcett left the series after only one season but continued to have a successful career, acting alongside Hollywood heavyweight, Kirk Douglas, in Saturn 3, Burt Reynolds, Dean Martin, and Sammy Davis, Jr. in Cannonball Run, and Robert De Niro in The Apostle.
Stay tuned for PART 2 later today (featuring a Farrah Fawcett fun fact), but, for now, enjoy blonde bombshell, Farrah Fawcett.
