Duffer Brothers and Netflix Roasted After ‘Stranger Things’ Lackluster Finale
Remember when the Duffer Brothers – creators of Stranger Things – emphasized the importance of giving substantial amounts of time in between seasons?
The direct quote was, “If TV shows come out every year, it’s diminishing return. I like the buildup.” So…movies? You want to make movies. That quote turns out to be just as dumb now as when they said it back in September of last year.
The Stranger Things series finale aired on December 31st. Maybe it was releasing the final season in 3 separate segments. Or the fact that the show took 10 years to put out 5 seasons. Perhaps it was a combination of both that had fans completely let down on New Year’s Eve 2025.
The general consensus from the Twitter-verse was that “It wasn’t Game of Thrones finale bad… but it wasn’t great.”
