Does a watertower make it a small town? Do empty streets? Does the size? What keeps them small? What keeps the rest of the world finding these tiny strips of romanticised life and building high-rises?? (ha! f*ck that)
I’m partial to both city life and the plains of the countryside. They both have their beauty to me. They both have their headaches (sirens wailing vs dogs barking and 7am dad lawn mowers).
Small town streets frozen in time will always give the sense of what real life was written to be. Unmanipulated with giant advertisements or big tech silently managing everything. Just neighbourly life existing, one breath at a time.
… there’s also a lot of sneakiness going on in some of these places. We’ll save that gallery for a rainy day.
