The internet didn’t invent funny, it just made it easier to access at all times.
That’s why I still like jokes that take a physical effort (like bathroom stall wisdom).
These jokes were thought out, printed, and stapled to a telephone pole by people who just wanted to see if the joke would last in the physical world.
No algorithms, no likes, no comments, just strangers walking past, doing a double-take, and hopefully laughing.
This is an under-rated art form and it deserves its flowers:
