One of the more annoying parts of being alive is having to get dressed every morning.
From digging through your drawer and hoping two matching socks will somehow materialize, to figuring out whether navy and black actually go together, looking decent can be exhausting.
The difficulty increases exponentially for women, so I thank my lucky stars every day that I’m not one.
Us guys genuinely have it easier. Menswear has fewer rules, fewer options, fewer opinions from strangers about whether your shoes work with your bag.
But easier doesn’t mean effortless, and “I just threw this on” only works as an excuse for so long.
As someone who tries to make an effort when getting dressed (I’m still learning), I’m not here to tell you to overhaul your wardrobe or spend a fortune on clothes.
These are just a few timeless principles that quietly separate the guys who look like they have it together from the guys who very much do not.
