I think we can all agree that movies, in general, are a pretty great thing.
Sure, there are some real stinkers out there, but the invention of moving pictures as a whole is inarguably a net positive for humanity.
But there are some people that take their… appreciation for the art form a little more intensely than others. We tend to call these people insufferable assholes, but they usually go with the term “cinephile.”
While these frequenters of movie theaters, purveyors of unsolicited hot takes, and curators of Letterboxd accounts might be a tad annoying, their existence would eventually see the subreddit r/okbuddycinephile being born!
