I saw Louis C.K. for the first time on YouTube in, like, 2009, and that’s all it took.
One perfectly executed joke for me to decide he was my favorite ever.
Since then, he’s dealt with his issues, sure, but he’s still widely considered one of the greatest and most influential stand-up comedians to ever take the stage.
Hilarious (2010) might be his best special but Chewed Up (2008) is spot-on too. If you’re bored heading into the weekend, fire either of them up, and thank me afterward.
C.K. is praised for his flawless joke writing, his vulnerability, and his unmatched ability to articulate the darker, absurd realities of modern life.
