I’m gonna make a bold statement here. And, I don’t really intend to insult anybody.
But:
I think influencers are among the worst things to happen to society as a result of the internet.
I used to manage and bartend at a pub, and “influencers” would come in at least once a month, asking for a free meal.
My answer was always no for one very simple reason: We made money by money, not Instagram likes.
The effort-to-engagement ratio on this stuff is genuinely insane.
Influencers going to extreme levels, disrupting the regular flow of society to get engagement on a post that’ll be forgotten by nighttime.
And look, I’m not saying don’t do it. I’m saying when karma sneaks up and kicks you in the tit, it’s totally worth it.
