So I’m going to be honest here: I was bought in to be TheChive’s new “sports guy”, but I’m really not the biggest baseball fan.
I never grew up with it, and if I’m going to really open up to you guys here: it just feels like a pretty stale, repetitive game. I’ll watch it if it’s on TV in the background with sound OFF, but you’ll be hard-pressed to find me watching any baseball game with perhaps the exception of the 2025 World Series Game 7.
Opening rage-bait aside, I still kinda get why people watch it. Not my thing, but I get it. What blows my very medium-sized mind is the fact that real life, functioning adults watch and follow Little League. Specifically, the Little League World Series.
