Admidettly, I didn’t know much about Hunter S. Thompson. But I started researching him and his life was bonkers.
See, most writers have a process.
Thompson’s “writing process” was a lifestyle that would hospitalize most people, while putting together a body of work that changed American journalism forever.
He invented an entire genre. He kept peacocks. He accidentally shot his assistant. He had his ashes fired from a cannon funded by Johnny Depp.
He was not playing a character. This was just the man.
