Ah, eagles: the raptors of the sky.
They’re apex predators with built-in zoom lenses, talons like steel, and a wingspan that makes a hawk look like a pigeon.
They’ve been the symbol of power for as long as humans have had something to look up at.
In America, the bald eagle has been on the Great Seal since 1782. It’s on US money, flags, and half the pickup trucks in the country.
It’s also one of the great comeback stories of the last century: by the 1960s, there were roughly 400 nesting pairs left in the lower 48. Today there are over 11,000.
So yes, eagles are awesome.
The facts are sky-high.
(I also have sweet facts about bears, sharks, and tigers because I have the brain of a child.)
