Yet beneath the festivities lies something deeper—a recognition of freedom: the foundational ideal that gave birth to a nation. Independence Day is not just a celebration of a historical event; it’s a reminder of the courage it took to fight for freedom, and of the responsibility we share to protect and expand it for others.
Freedom is not merely the absence of oppression. It’s the presence of opportunity. It’s the dignity to live life on one’s own terms, the power to access medical care, mobility, safety, and peace of mind. And while freedom was the dream of 1776, it remains just as relevant today.
