So, they’re trying to make a Halo TV series on Showtime, and they just lost an executive producer/a series director, Rupert Wyatt. That’s definitely a bummer, seeing that Wyatt made the damn good Rise of the Planet of the Apes among other films, but if you’ve been following Hollywood as long as I have, it doesn’t come as a surprise.
Halo is basically cursed when it comes to trying to adapt it to the big (or small) screen, and I thought I’d do a rundown of Hollywood’s many attempts to bring Master Chief to life. Some succeeded in the sense that they actually got released, but many failed to even make it to the part where the cameras would roll.
