15 legendary NPR Tiny Desk Concerts that we have on repeat

Tiny Desk Concerts have become massively popular over the past decade and change. The first ‘impromptu’ video came after NPR Music staffers, Bob Boilen and Stephen Thompson had a not so pleasant SXSW experience.
As the story goes, the duo couldn’t hear musician, Laura Gibson over the crowd noise. The two joked that she should just come play at Boilen’s desk. And that pretty much sparked the series.
Boilen’s band was actually called, Tiny Desk Unit so that’s where the name originated.
