The lore behind the hit song, “Iris” has been documented as well as any other song out there. Most notably the track was released in March of 1998 on the City of Angels Motion Picture Soundtrack, and completely blew up.
Writer and frontman of the Goo Goo Dolls, Johnny Rzeznik liked the song so much that it ended up on the band’s album, Dizzy Up the Girl which was released in September of ’98.
To say that “Iris” had extended success (including two Grammy nominations) would be a massive understatement.
