Macaulay Culkin stepped out looking better than ever in Los Angeles Monday night. The “Home Alone” star, 36, who has had long blond hair for years, cut his hair off in favor of a shorter, trendier hairstyle. Culkin, who stopped at a gas station to pick up cigarettes, kept it casual in a denim button-down, T-shirt and black jeans. He then got back in the car where his girlfriend, Brenda Song, pal Seth Green and his wife were waiting.

How does someone go from looking like he had AIDS and heroin withdrawal and the Rage Virus all at the same time, to looking like he does now? It’s probably because he stopped doing a fuckton of drugs, though he did deny those rumors last year:

“I was not pounding six grand of heroin every month or whatever”

Whatever he did, the dude is looking good. It’s not just the hair. There’s a certain zombie quality absent in the new look. He no longer looks like someone you’d be worried about breaking into your house when you’re home alone. I’m happy for the guy. He was in that hilarious parody of himself last year, he’s banging that super hot Asian chick from the Disney channel, and he used to bang Mila Kunis (even though that was a while ago I’m still giving him props because… damn).

Good for you, Macaulay.
