Founding member of The Clash and Public Image Ltd guitarist Keith Levene has died at the age of 65 in Norfolk, UK, according to an article on Billboard.
Former Public Image Ltd bandmates Jah Wobble and Martin Atkins announced his death on social media on Saturday, Nov. 12, after his battle with liver cancer.
“A sad time to learn of the passing of guitar giant Keith Levene,” Atkins said on Twitter. “We had our ups and downs that had mellowed over time. My respect for his unique talent never will.”
