Terminator 2: Judgment Day has an enormous legacy. It stands as one of the greatest science fiction sequels ever made, one of the absolute top-tier R-rated action films of the 1990s, and a groundbreaking display of computer-generated effects used to render the film’s iconic villain, the T-1000.

However, those computer-generated effects were so new and expensive at the time that the use of those effects had to be chosen very carefully. As a result, there’s quite a bit of Terminator 2 that was achieved through practical means, and with the release of The Chivery’s T-1000 Judgment Day Coin, I have a pretty good excuse to talk about this incredibly geeky subject matter.
