Escape From New York facts to close out the weekend (15 GIFs and Photos)

Escape From New York is practically a perfect low-to-mid budget action movie. It’s been endlessly imitated (and referenced, more on that in a bit), helped to launch Kurt Russell into action movies, and remains one of the most endlessly watchable movies of the 1980s.
With so much creativity in the final movie, it’s not a surprise that there’s some pretty neat trivia surrounding the film, and here are some of my favorite bits about the film.
