‘Final Destination’ facts for hitting the quarter-century mark

Final Destination is celebrating its 25th anniversary, and for good reason. The movie held up so well thanks to the fact that it was one of the only horror films at the turn of the millennium that didn’t rely on a serial killer or slasher gimmicks.
The idea of a plane exploding in mid-air is an inherently realistic fear for any human who has ever flown. The movie capitalizes on that anxiety and then some.
The cast was also a perfect fit for the ’00s including Devon Sawa, Ali Larter, Sean William Scott, and the late Tony Todd.
