Gene Hackman, his wife & dog found dead in Santa Fe home, and we all lost something spectacular

It is with incredible sorrow that I share the news that legendary, Oscar-winning actor Gene Hackman, his wife and their dog were found dead in their New Mexico home. As of now, authorities do not suspect foul play but have not yet determined the cause of death as an investigation takes place.
Hackman, 95, Betsy Arakawa, 63, and their dog were all dead when deputies arrived to check on their welfare around 1:45 p.m. Wednesday, Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Denise Avila said.
That’s the grim news we know as of now.
But now I’d like to share a few favorite movie moments from the iconic actor from films that are woven into the fabric of my DNA. Gene has left a tsunami-sized career in his wake, and we are all the luckier for having witnessed his incredible talent in our lifetimes.
Below, in no particular order, I wish to remember the life and works of Gene Hackman. RIP to you, Gene, and your wife & dog! Your legacies will live on!
