With the 89th Academy Awards ceremony just around the corner, it seemed like a perfect time to reflect on all the classic films that have taken home the golden Oscar statue throughout the past 40 years. We might not all agree that every Academy Awards showing is must-see TV, but hopefully we can all agree that movies are the spice of life and worthy of recognition (even when the Academy drops the ball and awards the wrong film victor).
