A rare but exciting movie genre: the crossover, when characters from two very different franchises “cross over” into each other’s universes.
Among the crossovers with which you’re likely familiar: Alien vs. Predator, Deadpool and Wolverine, and The Flintstones Meet the Jetsons.
As you can see, sometimes a crossover works, and sometimes it doesn’t. But it’s always exciting and there’s a lot of promise.
Over on Reddit, someone asked for dream crossovers. What surefire, can’t-miss, movie event would people make if they had a $200 million production budget, but they had to make a crossover?
