Let me start by saying, I’m picky when it comes to what defines a ‘Frat Pack’ movie.
These movies shaped my sense of humor and had me glued to the screen for most of my high school and early college career.
Specifically, the ‘Frat Pack’ was a moniker given to the group of comedic actors who appeared together in a bunch of the highest-grossing comedy flicks of early 2000s.
The name, ‘Frat Pack’ is a homage to the ‘Rat Pack’ (Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr., Peter Lawford, and Joey Bishop) but referencing the group’s popular fraternity-group focus. (And obviously, Old School.)
So, before we get into the list, let me preface by setting our rankings’ guardrails that were put in place before we all voted here at theCHIVE.
Members:

Rules:
– At least 2 ‘Frat Pack’ members need to appear in the movie for it to be considered
– Jack Black and Steve Carrell are not members
– Stop saying Jack Black is a member
– The ‘Frat Pack’ pre-dates the Judd Apatow crew (Seth Rogen, James Franco, Paul Rudd, etc.) Some ‘Frat Pack’ members intertwined, but they are two different niches
– Jack Black isn’t a member
Let’s have at it:
