‘Shutter Island’ is still giving us chills 15 years later

Here’s your reminder that 2010 was 15 years ago. Let that sink in. That very year, Martin Scorsese’s thriller, Shutter Island hit theaters. The film had a budget of $80 million and well-surpassed that amount, raking in nearly $295 million worldwide by the end of its run.
It also marked Scorsese’s highest opening weekend box office numbers up to that point in his career.
Even though it was never nominated by the Academy, we wanted to celebrate 15 years of the film and the totally mind-f*ck it truly is.
