SXSW 2025 Short Review Round-Up: Part 1 (8 GIFs and Photos)

It’s only been a few days since SXSW 2025 has kicked off and I’ve already seen a wild variety of movies. I have a lot of movies left to see, the festival doesn’t officially end until Saturday, March 15th. Even though that’s a lot of time, I still want to update y’all on the movies I’ve seen so far because I’m pretty damn sure one of them is going to be, at minimum, one of the best horror films of 2025.
For those who don’t know how these Short Review Round-Ups work, let me give you the rundown. Each movie listed will have a “Short Version” and a “Longer Version” mini-review. The names are pretty self-explanatory, but the Short Version will just be a couple of sentences long. If you’d like to know just a bit more, read the extra paragraphs in the Longer Version.
