#10: The Mist (1976)
Score: 72%
According to Rotten Tomatoes, “The Mist” comes in with a respectable score of 72%. Like many of Stephen King’s stories, it contains elements of the supernatural with its monstrous creatures lurking in the mist. However, King shows the wrath of humans being pushed to their limits is much more frightening. Most notably though, the film decided to go with a much darker ending than the book, which is frankly devastating to watch.
