The debut trailer for the ‘Transformers’ spinoff shows the series going in a totally new direction

The Transformers film franchise has been an overstuffed mess of explosions and whirring gears and headache-inducing jump cuts for years now. The first one in 2007 was a fun ride, but Director Michael Bay attempted to up the action ante with each installment, leaving no room in the crowded battle arena for any sort of heart or soul.
But the new trailer for an upcoming spinoff, Bumblebee, has disillusioned fans buzzing again.
