Long before Michael Keaton was cast in Tim Burton’s Batman, Warner Brothers was considering more of a “badass” to play the iconic role.
Screenwriter Sam Hamm, who co-wrote the screenplay with Burton and a few other writers who had taken passes as the script, said they had to convince Warner Brothers to cast Keaton.
