Vintage vixen, Veronica Lake, frequently played the femme fatale opposite Alan Ladd in 1940s film noir flicks. She was also known for her starring roles in “I Married a Witch” and “Sullivan’s Travels.”
Sadly, Lake’s career began to fizzle as her alcohol addiction worsened, leading to her death, at the age of 50, from hepatitis and acute kidney failure.
