Today marks 20 years since the release of the Playstation 2. And five years since my mom sold mine along with what had to be 100 games for a measly 25 bucks. Damn I miss that old box.

As I was saying… The Playstation 2 turns 20 today. And man, I spent way more time plugged in to that thing than I should have. But how could I not? Just fantastic title after fantastic title. The Playstation 2 made up for the fact that before it was released, I was a Playstation 1 Kid in a school full of N64 Kids — it was extremely ostracizing when everyone was talking about their favorite Super Smash Bros character while I just wanted someone I could talk to about Crash Bandicoot.
“You weren’t ostracized because you were a ‘PS1 Kid’. You were ostracized because you were a little shit-toucher who somehow struck out in fucking KICKBALL and then cried in front of the entire gymnasium.”
