Ariyan Arslani – aka Bam Bam Baklava, Action Bronsonelli, Mr. Baklava, or best known as Action Bronson (born December 2, 1983, in Flushing, Queens), began life far from the studio lights.
Raised by an Albanian Muslim father and an American Jewish mother, he learned culinary craft early, working in his family’s Mediterranean restaurant and eventually attending the Art Institute of New York’s culinary program.
After a leg injury and increasing discontent with the kitchen grind, he shifted his focus to music, channeling his chef’s precision and gourmet flair into vivid, food-laden, hedonistic, boastful rap songs that infuse the sounds of jazz and hip-hop together. And oh boy are the lyrics ever so tasty.
